Progress on the Painting

Here are some of the pictures taken today to show the progress of painting the building. It looks like we are ahead of schedule.

Wow! Great to see this for real!

So... the painting seems to go along well :)

I have a suggestion.. As they have juz completed the paintwork at my balcony, I still see some gaps (lil ones) that needs some 'filling'. Is it possible to leave some of the green railing paint, as well as the wall color paint at the Maintenance Office so ppl like me can get some paint to patch it up ourselves?

Stan...the agreement was within 90 working days. So instead of late March / early April we should have it completed by early March.

Great! And the results look good too.

The balconies of unoccupied apartments are not being cleaned post-painting, and rubbish has built up on them. This blocks the drain when it rains resulting in standing water of a few inches deep.

Is there a plan to address this?

i have to say that i'm not totally happy with the work the painters are doing. when they did my unit, i noticed that they were very chin chai. they didn't bother to scrape away flaky paint before painting. a resident informed me that they only did one coat of paint on top of the sealer when theres suppose to be two coats. they didn't paint my window frames when i am sure its part of the deal. the balcony floor wasn't covered when they did the painting thus making it a little harder for lazy residents like to to clean.

would appreciate any comments from residents regarding the painting as we are meeting them this friday to discuss thiese isuues. ciao.

one more thing, they don't seem to be consistent as they paint some belcony's railings but left some unpainted!! ciao.

Thanks! I am very greatful to have my balcony painted. It is such a lovely place to sit, and it was getting a little grubby'. I have a question..will they be painting the Green Railings too?
I agree with Linda that perhaps some paint should be available to patch up any missed spots.
Just a suggestion, the wall around the pool could do with a coat of paint too. Don't know if this is already planned or not?

I have to agree with hymeir, the contractors are doing a very chin chai job. As long as it looks clean they will move on. Its a terrible appointment by the management. Sometimes cheap is not good. Especially when dealing with painting an entire building.

hi all,

It's great to see that the bldg is being painted. Kudos TRAMC. However, let's ensure that the paintwork is done properly. I still see areas/surfaces not painted.

It's our money, yours and mine, so lets ensure the contractor completes the job dilligently. We have been waiting for this day to happen so let's not waste it...

Dear Surik,

Thank you for your comment; we had a meeting with the painters last Saturday. To ensure that they complete their job diligently we encourage all residence to feedback any areas they think needs to be improved. We have yet to make full payment, and we will only release the payment once we are satisfied with their work.

I will drop by the TRAMC office this Sat to share with the office areas where the painters may have missed.

Cheers! Unit 16-2
